A feminist value we hold dear is intentional organizing and mutual benefit. It’s important that as many people as possible have access to the resources we curate and share and thus influences how we embark on community engagement.
In 2022, as a foundation to our I SEA the blue zine, we embarked on a 2 year journey to explore the emotional connection Ghanaian coastal dwellers have with the sea. As a part of this, we were fortunate to live and work within the coastal areas of Anloga between the sea and lakes, immersed with the locals’ relationships to both and learning how their ecosystem forms their socio-cultural identities. This lead to a two-toned literary production: I SEA THE BLUE
